Outdoor Experiences

Our slice of West Virginia offers something for everyone when it comes to Outdoor Experiences.  Home to abundant wildlife, an expansive trail system, fishing ponds, and with the beauty of Howards Creek flowing from end to end, there is no better place to experience all the natural beauty that West Virginia has to offer, than your Sporting Club.

On-Property Fishing

Fishing is our most popular outdoor activity at The Greenbrier Sporting Club.  Members and their authorized guests may fish on their own or with an expert guide from Kate's Mountain Adventures at The Greenbrier Resort.  All fishing is catch and release and Howard’s Creek is fly fishing only.  A West Virginia fishing license and trout stamp are required for fishing in Howard's Creek.

Off-Property Fishing

In addition to on-property fishing, we have contacts to enable member access to some of the best fishing spots around.  Working with local, professional guide companies, members and their authorized guests are afforded offers and experiences that are second to none.

Fishing License

To purchase a West Virginia fishing license please visit www.wvfish.com.  This site will allow you quick and easy access to fishing licenses, regulations and other important information about outdoor recreation in West Virginia.  The online system accepts credit card payments using Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. You may print your licenses and permits after you pay, so there's no waiting!

Greenbrier Gun Club

Located atop Kate's Mountain, the Gun Club's current offerings include four combination trap and skeet fields and a 10-station sporting clays course. Whether your interest is trap, skeet, sporting clays or all of the above, special member pricing makes this amenity a great value.  Regardless of whether you are a beginner or a seasoned pro, there is something for you. Equipment and instruction are available at member pricing, as well.
