The Young Explorers Program, based at The Hunt Cabin, offers a fun-filled camp experience for children ages 7 to 12. Each day, kids have the opportunity to explore the many exciting activities available at The Greenbrier Sporting Club. Under the guidance of our expert staff, children are led through a variety of adventures that teach them how to enjoy the outdoors safely and responsibly. The program follows a one-week rotating schedule, running from Wednesday to Saturday, with no scheduled activities on Sunday or Monday. Each day brings a new activity, giving children a chance to experience something fresh and exciting.

A fun-filled morning or afternoon program designed for children ages 4–7, offered each Tuesday with engaging, age-appropriate activities that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of the outdoors. Each session features hands-on exploration through interactive story time, nature-inspired crafts, gentle hikes, and simple science activities, all centered around discovery in nature. A snack is included, and programming highlights the native plants and animals of West Virginia, helping children build a meaningful connection to the natural world while fostering confidence and excitement to share what they’ve learned.

New for the 2026 Young Explorers schedule, we’ve partnered with Lost World Caverns and the White Sulphur Springs National Fish Hatchery. Our guides will accompany children on visits to both sites for engaging, educational experiences, including a guided tour and gem mining at Lost World Caverns. At the hatchery, children step into a living outdoor classroom where they explore how fish, wildlife, and clean water are connected, and learn through hands-on activities how to care for and protect the ecosystem.
