Guest Policies

Members may have guests accompanied by them use The Club Facilities in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of The Club. The Club may limit the number of guests and the number of times a particular guest may use such facilities, amenities and services during each membership year. Unaccompanied member guest access to Club Facilities is subject to approval of Club Management and is limited to off-peak days and times. Members are responsible for all fees and charges incurred by their guests, and for ensuring their guests comply with all such Rules and Regulations and Resort Policies.


 
Immediate Family – A Member’s immediate family will mean the Member’s spouse and their unmarried children under the age of 23 who are either living at home, attending school on a full-time basis or serving in the military.

Extended Family – The extended family shall be the parents and adult children of the Member and Spouse, and the adult children’s spouses and children.  Amenity access cards are required to access certain amenities.
 
Unaccompanied Guests – The unaccompanied guest must be overnight house guests of the Member and be pre-registered with The Club. Most amenity access is restricted without the accompaniment of the member.

Accessing Property

Members - Members’ vehicles are identified by their assigned windshield decal. Vehicles must be registered with the Membership Office to receive a current decal.
 
Guest Registration – Guests will be issued a dated, visitor’s vehicle pass which must be displayed on the dash of their vehicle at all times while on Club and Resort properties. 
  • Members should request a visitor’s vehicle pass for their extended family and overnight house guests by completing the online registration form, or by emailing The Greenbrier Sporting Club Membership Office at gscmembershipoffice@greenbrier.com.  
  • Guest’s name and dates of stay will be required. 
  • Your guest's vehicle pass will be available for pickup at The GSC Welcome Center located just off Route 60 on Sporting Club Drive.  Upon arrival, your guests may be asked to provide the Member name and address they are visiting.

Accessing Members' Amenities

Snead Course

Unaccompanied Guests – Member allowed 5 times per calendar year for unaccompanied guests.
Tee times may only be made Monday – Friday (this excludes holidays). 
Forecaddie required for every unaccompanied guest tee time.
Extended Family – No restrictions, family rates apply.
Extended Family Guests - Guests may accompany the Extended Family.
Greenbrier Rounds – Per the Access & Use Agreement, Greenbrier guests are permitted a maximum of four afternoon tee times per day.  Forecaddie required for every Greenbrier tee time.
 

Ashford Course

Unaccompanied Guests & Extended Family - No restrictions for tee times.
 

Lessons

Guests must be referred directly by the Member, on a space available basis.
Guests may pay for all charges with a personal credit card.  Members are responsible for all charges incurred by their guests that are not paid for directly by the guest.
An attendant will be on duty at both pools to check in Members & Extended Family.
 
Unaccompanied Guests – No Access.
Extended Family – Unaccompanied Extended Family may access the pool at any time.
  • Extended Family will be required to present a guest amenity access card as credentials for accessing the pool.  Members may request a guest amenity access card by contacting The Greenbrier Sporting Club Membership Office at 304-647-6100. Extended family names and dates of stay will be required.  Your guest's amenity access card will be available for pickup at The Club's Membership Office located at the Members’ Lodge on Sporting Club Drive. 
Extended Family Guests - Blackout dates may apply for accompanied extended family guests during busy periods, at the discretion of The Club.
Unaccompanied Guests – No Access.
Extended Family – Same access as the Member.
Members and their authorized Extended Family Members may be asked to sign in upon entry and before use of Fitness Facilities.
Extended Family Guests - A maximum of 2 guests may accompany the Extended Family.

Lodge Dining

Unaccompanied Guests – Prime seating times and tables will only be reserved for Members.  

  • Blackout dates may apply for unaccompanied guests during busy periods, at the discretion of The Club.
Extended Family – Prime seating times and tables will only be reserved for Members.
  • Limit of one table per Extended Family Party.
    • parties of 10 people or more must be approved by management
Extended Family Guests - Guests may accompany the Extended Family.
 

Summit Dining

Unaccompanied Guests 
  • Sunday, Monday, & Thursday – Prime seating times will only be reserved for Members. 
  • Fridays & Saturdays - Advance dining reservations are not available. Day of, if space permits, unaccompanied guests may be worked in at the Manager's discretion.
  • Additional blackout dates may apply during busy periods, at the discretion of The Club.
Extended Family – Prime seating times will only be reserved for Members. 
  • Limit of one table per Extended Family Party.
    • parties of 10 people or more must be approved by management
  • Extended family must be accompanied by the member during holiday periods.

Extended Family Guests - Guests may accompany the Extended Family.

Unaccompanied Guests – Limited access based upon availability. May not be reserved in advance.
Extended Family – Same access as the Member.
Extended Family Guests - A maximum of 3 guests may accompany the Extended Family.
No restrictions. Reservations required.

Unaccompanied Guests – Prime seating times will only be reserved for Members.

Guests may pay for all charges with a personal credit card.  Members are responsible for all charges incurred by their guests that are not paid for directly by the guest.

Discounts

Guests of members and extended family are not entitled to member discounts at The Greenbrier Resort and must pay published rack rates. Certain services and amenities at The Resort will be provided at a discount for members.  Members must present their current Club Membership Card and all purchases and activity fees must be charged to member's city ledger to qualify for discounts at The Resort.  The Greenbrier reserves the right to change the Resort Amenities and the Resort Policies from time to time in its sole discretion.

Casino Guest Usage

Members age 21 and over may enter the Casino any time during normal operating hours by simply showing their membership card.  Overnight guests of members, age 21 and over, are permitted entrance into the casino when accompanied by the member.
 
Members, are not required to escort their guests to the Casino Club, but they must provide each guest with one of their casino guest cards for entry into the Casino Club.

Members will be responsible for retrieving their casino guest cards from their overnight guests.  New cards will be issued prior to the card’s expiration.

With adequate, advance notice, members may contact The Greenbrier Sporting Club Membership Office at 304-647-6100 or email gscmembershipoffice@greenbrier.com to request additional casino guest cards.


Please note that The Club reserves the right to approve exceptions to these guest policies on a case-by case basis, in its sole discretion, provided it does not have a materially adverse effect upon the Memberships’ ability to utilize The Club amenities. Further, from time to time and in its sole discretion, The Club may impose additional guest restrictions based upon business levels.
